Residential Treatment Program

SHERWOOD DRUG & ALCOHOL DETOX

Sherwood residential treatment facility offers Mens and Womens Residential Treatment Programs for alcohol and substance abuse.

Providing Proven Treatment and Care

Our detox and residential treatment is an intimate six-bed facility located in the illustrious Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Los Angeles. Our clients feel safe and are carefully attended to throughout their primary level of treatment. Clients in primary treatment are typically stepping down from our detox and have realized they need more support. Our residential treatment center provides the nurturing and supportive environment necessary for those in recovery to practice their independence and new lifestyle.

Private Room Accommodations

Our residential treatment for alcohol and substance abuse affords our Clients the luxury of private rooms so each individual can have dignity and privacy while they participate in a rigorous program of group and individual therapy as well as weekly individual case management sessions.

Our group and individual services are based on evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Enhancement Therapy as well as a strong focus on Mindfulness training for emotion regulation. We complement our clinical program with holistic healing services such as yoga, meditation, Breathwork, Qi Gong, acupuncture and nutritional counseling. All of our clinicians are master’s level with years of experience treating substance use, trauma and psychiatric disorders. At Sherwood Drug & Alcohol Treatment, we understand how years of addiction and dealing with symptoms of mental illness impact an individual’s ability to focus on the basic demands of “growing up.”

We know how daunting it can be for our clients to face the challenges of “showing up” to school or employment for the very first time. We offer the skills and guidance needed to support our clients integration into the next chapter of their lives.

With years of experience, we recognize this insidious cycle of symptoms preventing action, and then inaction promoting addiction. We are committed to breaking this cycle with our exemplary life skills team. At Sherwood Drug & Alcohol Treatment, we utilize a parallel approach. While our team is working to explore and resolve underlying issues, we are simultaneously helping clients to confront the present day developmental task, which must be integrated in order to ensure lasting recovery.

Our Treatment Process

Individual Therapy

Upon entry into our program, clients are assigned a therapist who spearheads treatment planning and acts as the primary liaison with family members and loved ones.

Upon admission, you will be assigned a Masters Level Clinician as well as a designated Case Manager who ensure that all collateral (legal, employment, referring medical professional, sober living homes, etc.) are always aware of a client’s progress and needs. Clients meet with their individual therapist twice weekly and are assigned additional therapeutic services as needed. Sherwood Drug & Alcohol Treatment therapists create a safe and nurturing environment where clients are able to explore and identify their underlying issues and treatment plans are created to address each and every client need.

Group Therapy

The staff at Sherwood Drug & Alcohol Treatment is continually amazed at the curative effect of group therapy and the power of peer-to-peer healing from positive reflection and identification.

Addicts coming into recovery are often plagued with shame and a profound feeling of isolation; we find that some of our client’s most profound discoveries come from our group sessions. Residential treatment for depression and anxiety alongside treatment for substance abuse are addressed in our supportive community of clinicians, therapists and recovering clients alike. Seasoned group leaders are present to guide the group as clients work through their individual or inter-group issues.

The earlier you seek support, the sooner you and your loved ones can return to leading happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Sherwood Detox offers a stand-alone detox program.
